On Jan. 18, Electronic Monitoring Program deputies learned one of their inmates, 19-year-old Aaron Garcia of Wasco, removed his electronic monitoring device. Garcia was serving a criminal sentence in “virtual custody” for vehicle theft and possessing a stolen vehicle. The Kern County Sheriff’s deputies obtained a felony warrant for Garcia’s arrest. Agustin R. Mercado entered this life on June 26, 1931, to parents Leopoldo Mercado Gonzalez and Josefina Reynoso Casillas. He was a hard worker and provider for his family.
