The Orange Heart Foundation, in partnership with Wasco Families Wrestling is hosting their first Small Town Summer Night Festival on Saturday, June 17. The event will feature music by DJ BoomDog with lots of dancing. There will be food, drinks, a 50/50 raffle and a cornhole tournament. The City of Shafter held its inaugural First Friday event last week, attracting hundreds of people to downtown Shafter. Centrally located at the downtown square, the event had numerous vendors, music, food and entertainment. Nearly 80 people toured the Storm Encounter exhibit at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Shafter last week.
