    Elaine Notley (Stoller), 87, passed away peacefully from complications of kidney disease. She was born in Milltown, S.D. She attended Shafter High School, where she met her husband of 67 years – John Notley Jr. They lived in San Luis Obispo while John attended Cal Poly, then moved to Shafter before settling in Terra Bella for 54 years.     The swim teams for Shafter High School made a splash at the recent SSL Championships, qualifying a number of swimmers for the Valley Championship meet. At the SSL Championships, Shafter qualified eight swimmers to move on to the Valley Championships.     On Sunday, over 30 women were screened for breast cancer at the Dignity Health Community Wellness Program mammogram bus. "The purpose is to bring free health screenings to women who cannot drive outside of town," supervisor Angelica Montano said. The program serves uninsured women from underserved communities.
