Pet of the Week: Diva the Great Dane needs a home

Diva, an approximately 5-year-old female Great Dane mix, will be available for adoption on June 17.

Diva is black, white and cream and came in as a stray. She is extra large and will need a big area to roam and play. Diva has a short coat which will not need much maintenance other than baths and brushing. She has been great with staff, but has not yet been tested with other dogs.

She did come in microchipped and staff is trying to get in contact with her owners. It is unknown if she is house or crate trained and dogs are not tested with children or cats.

If she is reclaimed before her availability, she will be removed from PetFinder immediately. If this is your dog, contact the Wasco Animal Shelter at 661-758-7240.

Everyone is welcome to adopt from our facility. Adopters can be from out of town and/or local. We will not place holds for adoption. Call on Diva's day of availability to set up an appointment. First call, first serve. Appointments made via email are not available.

All dogs will be neutered/spayed once adopted. Depending on the availability of our local vet, it is not guaranteed that the dog will be spayed or neutered the same day.

The shelter will not accept animal surrenders until further notice.

Rescue is a nonprofit organization with a tax exempt 501(c)(3). If you never pulled from the Wasco Animal Shelter, email the shelter two references and a copy of your 501(c)(3) form.
