One of the attributes of God is that He is powerful. The Bible says power belongs to God. We see the power of God every day as we look at His creation all around us. Hebrews 1:3 says, ”Upholding all things by the word of his power. This world is filled with fear, lies and deceit.” We can rest assured that God has everything under control. God is called “the Strength of Israel.” I go to sleep each night knowing that the Strength of Israel watches over my family.

1st Samuel 15:29 calls God the Strength of Israel. He is still the Strength of Israel because he never changes. He is the Victory and the Triumph of Israel. This name, Strength of Israel, carries a meaning of eternal. His power and strength are eternal, and every day we can see his strength and power displayed.

The Strength of Israel fights my battles. He said the battle is not mine, but it belongs to him. Exodus 14:14 says, ”The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace.” God was telling Israel that day at the Red Sea to trust him for the victory. He tells you and I today to trust him and fight the good fight of faith.

Are you facing a Red Sea in your life that seems uncrossable? The Strength of Israel has never lost a battle, and He can part that Red Sea in your life.

The Strength of Israel can deliver from sins’ bondage. The sinner can be set free by the power of God. Man was far from God because of his failure in Eden. Ecclesiastes 7:29 says, “God made man upright, but man sinned against God and threw this world into convulsions.” God gave fallen man hope as He promised to send his only begotten Son.

Praise the Lord for his mercy. Jesus came and died for man’s sin. Now, through the blood of His cross, you can find peace and freedom from sin. The Strength of Israel can deliver the alcoholic and the person hooked on drugs. Trust the Strength of Israel with your life and trust him to work out your problems. He is bigger and stronger than any mountain in your life.
