The Shafter Womans Club's "Snow on the Mountain" is a big fundraiser for the club.

The Shafter Woman's Club's "Snow on the Mountain" event made its return to Shafter on Nov. 30 at the Shafter Veterans Hall. The event had been hiatus for a couple of years because of the pandemic, but the club made its return a festive one, with a large number of beautifully decorated trees that were raffled off. The trees were donated by members of the club.

Coffee was the theme of this tree.

A good turnout was on hand to eat, fellowship and peruse the trees on display. Among the trees were a tree decorated with gift cards from numerous businesses in the area, a tree that highlighted coffee, with different flavors in the display, as well as a tree that was full of different kinds of nutcrackers, glittering on the tree.

The ladies wanted to thank the enormous help received from the members, as well as members of the community who were on hand to help with the event.
