Wasco Woman's Club recognizes art students

President Cheryl Woody and the Wasco Woman's Club members honored art students from Wasco High School after not being able to for the past two years because of covid-19.

The art and photography were on display at the clubhouse.

The students that participated in the photography category were Erik Silva, Alex Trevino, Jazmin Flores, Leslie Pruneda, Gabriel Villasana and Abram Aboytes.

Students participating in the art category were Faith Reyes, Ann Marie Rivera, Alexis Figueroa, Yuridia Gonzales, Dyaney Barboza, Brianna Arrazate, Jesus Rodriguez and Martin Gonzalez.

"We want to thank the instructors and judges," Woody said.

Art instructors were Julie Pineo and Matthew Steward, and in photography, Danny Eusebio.

The judges were Betsy Rogers, Sharon Sharp and Stacey Payne.

After explaining their creations and photos, students received award certificates and small monetary gifts.

"We had a full house, and parents and other family members, as well as clubwomen, enjoyed cookies at the end of the program," Woody said.
