Aircraft down in Shafter

Authorities responded to the report of a downed aircraft in Shafter on Wednesday at approximately 12:45 p.m. Off of Driver Road and Lerdo Highway, officers located a downed aircraft in the middle of an empty field. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the site. It was not immediately known what type of aircraft it was or the condition of the pilot.
