Pet of the Week: Roxy needs a new home

Roxy, a 5-year-old female Australian Kelpie mix, was an owner surrender to the Wasco Animal Shelter.

This short-haired, black medium sized dog is approximately 50-55 pounds and is slightly timid toward staff. Roxy has not been tested with other dogs, cats, or children. At this time it is unknown if she is house or crate trained.

Roxy is available for adoption now.

Everyone is welcome to adopt from the facility. Adopters can be from out of town and/or local. The shelter will not place holds for adoption. Potential adopters are responsible for transportation.

Call the shelter at 661-758-7240 and schedule a time to visit Roxy. It is first call, first serve. Appointments made via email are not available.

All dogs will be neutered/spayed once adopted. Depending on the availability of our local vet, it is not a guarantee that the animal will be spayed/neutered the same day.

The shelter is accepting animal surrenders at this time.

Rescue is a nonprofit organization with a tax exempt 501(c)(3). If you never pulled from the Wasco Animal Shelter, email the shelter two references and a copy of your 501(c)(3) form.

The Wasco Animal Shelter is located at 5409 7th St. and are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
