A former stylist at Beliz Image Salon & Spa is starting out on her own with DM Hair Salon.
Located at 905 7th St., Diana Martinez is ready to start doing hair.
Owner of Beliz Salon Aida Moita moved to the Central Coast one year ago and opened a shop. Recently she closed her Wasco location.

Martinez took the opportunity to find a new space and get her salon going.
"When the pandemic closed down hair salons, Beliz lost most of its customers," Martinez said. "With Aida moving to the Central Coast and opening up a shop over there, the commute to return to Wasco got to be too much, so she closed her Wasco shop."
Even though stylist stations are still empty, Martinez has only been in business for three weeks and is seeking a masseuse, hair stylists and a stylist who is familiar with henna brows.
DM Salon offers cuts, shampoo, set, perms and color.
"I would like to have three more stylists," Martinez said. "We also will do manicures, but not pedicures yet."
