Over 40 vendors will be at pop-up event

One of the area's largest shopping events will pop up on E. Lerdo Highway Saturday.

The Tin Cup, at 1101 E. Lerdo Highway, is hosting a pop-up shopping day from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Over 40 vendors are expected to have booths there with a variety of products including homemade goods, jewelry, clothes, soaps and lotions.

Included in the event will be some businesses previously featured in the Shafter Press such as Adrianna Pompa of Pompa's Small Shop, which sells homemade soaps, scrubs, bath salts, and jewelry creations. There will also be a variety of beauty products including nails, make-up, and homemade lotions. Another veteran of the pop-up events is Alyssa Ramirez, who uses a wood burning instrument to make everything from keychains to name plaques, with a technique called pyrography.

Tin Cup Manager Shakira said that all of the vendor spaces are sold out.

In addition to the shopping, attendees can have breakfast, lunch, enjoy some music and have a chance to win prizes. Each vendor donated a prize from their shop to raffle off. For every $10 that an attendee spends in the Tin Cup, they are given a raffle ticket.

Pop-up events have become popular this past year, with a variety of vendors selling their creations and wares at events that attract residents who wanted to shop safely and conveniently.
