Two men were arrested April 5 after they were found inside a stolen vehicle with stolen property in it.

At approximately 5 p.m., deputies from the Wasco City Substation located the stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of 12th Street.

Deputies detained the occupants of the vehicle, Brycen Dugan, 29, from Wasco, and Carlos Guizar, 22, from Wasco. Deputies found additional stolen property inside the vehicle, which led deputies to a motel room in the 1100 block of Highway 46. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the room and located more stolen items.

Dugan was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary, two counts of grand theft during a state of emergency, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of brass knuckles.

Guizar was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, grand theft during a state of emergency, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of brass knuckles.

Anyone with additional information regarding these investigations is asked to contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 771-322-4040.
