Live or virtual, Rose Queen Pageant will still be held

The date for this year's Rose Queen pageant is still scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10; however, whether the pageant will be live or virtual has not yet been decided.

Meanwhile, the candidates and their sponsors are listed below:

∎ Wasco Rotary is sponsoring Natalie Guerrero,

∎ Saldana Welding and Fabrication is sponsoring Kimberly Gonzalez,

∎ The Wasco Historical Society is sponsoring Mikayla Orozco,

∎ Wasco Knights of Columbus is sponsoring two candidates – Wendy Cendejas and Elizabeth Padilla,

∎ Maria's Tax Service is sponsoring Marlen Parades-Ruiz,

∎ Planet Dance is sponsoring Isabella Garcia,

∎ Lady Elks is sponsoring Ray Hernandez,

∎ ∎ [BOX]Wasco Bengal Cheer is sponsoring Cassandra Hinijosa, and

∎ MV Autoworks is sponsoring Stephanie Garcia.

With the covid-19 pandemic, the pageant, Wasco Festival and music show are still up in the air. The committees are hopeful that all events will take place this year.
