Local educators from Shafter, Wasco and Lost Hills got together to decorate heart-shaped sugar cookies at Thomas Jefferson Middle School Tuesday.
Delta Kappa Gamma Society members arrived at TJ to hold their monthly meeting and enjoy some cookie decorating.
During the business portion of the meeting, retired instructor Anna Poggi was recognized for her service to education and Denise Hamlin was recognized for her service to the chapter.
Following the business meeting, the ladies were instructed how to properly decorate a cookie. Red and white frostings were the colors of the day, of course.
