Christmas tree recycling – Wasco 2018 Christmas tree recycling drop-off locations are available Dec. 26 through Jan 6. Shafter-Wasco landfill, 17621 Scofield Ave., 8 miles west of Shafter; Vacant lot, corner of Annin Avenue and Gromer Avenue; Wasco green waste site, 5201 7th St., 2 miles west of Wasco.

Library closed -- Wasco Branch Library will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

MONDAY

NEW: Adults Get Crafty —Join for arts, crafts and conversations. At the Wasco Library, 1-2p.m.

Fishes & Loaves -- Free dinner every first Monday 5-7 p.m. at 408 Griffith Ave.

Adult education -- Enroll for classes at 1445 Poso Drive. High school diploma program, ESL, citizenship and Microsoft Office.

TUESDAY

NEW: 2019 Vision Board -- Join in creating vision board for New Year goals and resolutions. At the Wasco Library, 1 p.m.

UPDATED: City Council -- Meets first and third Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on 8th Street. NO MEETING NEXT WEEK.

WEDNESDAY

NEW: Word Search Fun! -- At the Wasco Library Jan. 2, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Puzzlemania — At the Wasco Library, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

NEW: TAB Teen Advisory Board -- Come and chat to help spark teen interest Jan. 2. At the Wasco Library 4-6 p.m.

ACTS Class –-Alcohol and chemical treatment series meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the Sounds of Pentecost, 2000 Palm Ave. Rides are available.

Reading and crafts -- Family story time and crafts 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Wasco Library.
