    In the early 1980s, Kern County got some buses. Kern Regional Transit called the route that services Bakersfield to Delano and back North Kern Express, but now it's simply Route 110. Along the way, the 110 bus stops in Shafter, Wasco and McFarland to pick up a few passengers. If you were to catch a ride on 110, there would probably be a good number of students filling the seats.     Jacobo Salinas, 74, went with the Lord on July 4, 2019, in Bakersfield, after a short illness. Salinas was born on Oct. 11, 1944, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Jacobo Salinas and Juanita Garcia. As a child he worked in the fields with his family and attended school in Wasco.     Colors exploded above the sky at Barker Park last week during the Fourth Annual Fireworks Show sponsored by the Orange Heart Foundation.
